Hi, I'm Marie-France,
a qualified dietitian-nutritionist, hypnotherapist and counsellor
Let’s start with the basics
I am a dietitian-nutritionist, hypnotherapist, counsellor and home economist. And I’ve been researching children’s relationships with eating for over 15 years.
As a continuous learner, I also remain on top of new advances in the field – to ensure I always give you the best advice possible.
I’ve been featured on ABC and SBS. And I write regularly for Kiddipedia and New Born Baby.
My gift to you… is ‘confidence’
I believe that lifelong dietary success goes beyond the child themselves. That’s why I always work closely with parents and carers in all I do.
My aim? To give you the confidence you need to achieve peaceful, positive mealtimes (long after our sessions are over).
After we work together, you’ll have no doubt what to put on your child’s plate. And you’ll know exactly how to handle those tricky, fussy eating situation and feeding fussy eaters.
I’m a holistic thinker – with the expertise you need
My interest lies in the cultural, socioeconomic and parental influences on a child’s eating habits.
I’ve undertaken research and clinical work on obesity, diabetes, coeliac disease and dysphagia. And I’ve studied how the immune system, brain and gut bacteria all work together to develop a child’s body and mind.
So with me, you’re always getting a wholesome, holistic approach. This means I assess all aspects of your child’s eating, including their:
- Nutritional intake
- Constipation
- Sensory preferences
- Mealtime behaviour
- Environment, structure and routines
- Parent-child feeding relationships
- Any underlying medical or behavioural conditions.
- Autism, ADHD, anxiety.
Oh – and I’m a mum too
As a mum of three, I know firsthand how hard it can be – and how important it is – to instil healthy eating habits in children. And I’m intimately familiar with the impact that fussy eating can have on an entire family.
But as a fussy eater specialist for over 15 years, I also know that a positive outcome is always possible.
It’s all about helping you and your child find confidence and mindfulness in eating – so that mealtime is a pleasant experience for everyone.
